Fabulous statement piece!
This clear lucite necklace has the mid-century modern look of the 1960s but it dates to the 1940s. Although unmarked, based on my research this necklace is by Castlecliff. Castlecliff began producing jewelry in the 1940s when medals were rationed due to the war and designers were experimenting with materials such as Lucite and wood. Castlecliff had become known for their bold, scriptural designs in metal, accented with colorful rhinestones in glass.
