Vintage 1930s Czech Turquoise Brooch

Sharon Harper Designs

I have always loved the fresh look of silver and turquoise together and this necklace does not disappoint💕

This beautiful vintage 1930s Czech silver brooch is made of silver stamped metal filigree leaves and beautiful marbled turquoise glass stones with two layers of silver flowers and six turquoise stones that are marbled with white and gold specks. It’s paired with a fab vintage silver chain which I think leads to a more casual piece of jewelry.

FYI. Czechoslovakia or (Bohemia, the old name for that area that became today’s Czech Republic). For hundreds of years, glass from Bohemia flowed into North America first as raw beads, then later as buttons followed by jewelry. Czechs made beautiful pieces of jewelry sold in the United States in the 1920s and 1930s but that abruptly came to a halt because of World War II.
