*Kramer is featured in many jewelry books and was chosen to be Christian Dior's US manufacturer in 1950's. Beautiful designs and prong set Austrian crystal rhinestones make these pieces sparkling beauties desirable to collectors. Kramer was founded by Louis Kramer in 1943, and the business was closed sometime around 1980. While the style of the jewelry changed with the times, the quality of his pieces is always excellent, with stones almost always being prong set.
*Kenneth Jay Lane is known throughout the world for being the "Master of Fakes" his incredible life is documented in his book called, "Faking It" which debuted in 1996. KJL started designing at Dior and from there struck out on his own,  garnering the approval of actors like Elizabeth Taylor and Audrey Hepburn, who wore the iconic five strand pearl necklace design by Lane in Breakfast at Tiffany's. Former first ladies Jackie Kennedy, Barbara Bush and Nancy Reagan, as well as Princess Diana, were also fans.
